Communication Arts magazine, a professional journal for those involved in creativity in visual communications, has announced the winners of its 63rd annual photography competition. One hundred and seventeen
Projects were selected by a jury of creative professionals; 2,241 entries were submitted to the competition. The selected projects will be reproduced in the July/August 2022 issue of Communication Arts, both in print and digital editions. More than 25,000 copies of the issue will be distributed worldwide, assuring important exposure to the creators and publishers of these award-winning images.
White-Naped Crane, a large and gracefully built crane with long and droopy wing feathers. Adults are pearl-gray with a red face and a white stripe running from the crown down along the back of the neck. Juveniles are similar but are tinged with brown across their upper parts. Less tolerant of dry fields than Hooded and Common Cranes and often found in smaller groups. Taken with the Nikon D850.
