Dreams of no one there

Black and White Photography by Robert David Atkinson.

"In the quiet solitude of the early morning, the cormorant swam at the edge of a tranquil lake, its feathers glistening with the remnants of the night's dew. As the first rays of sunlight pierced the horizon, the cormorant seemed lost in a world of its own creation. With a fixed gaze, it appeared to be entranced by the gentle ripples that danced in rhythmic harmony. In these moments, the cormorant dreamt of a world where no one else was there, where the vast expanse of the lake was its private sanctuary, untouched by the intrusion of human presence. The bird's momentarily dormant wings hint at the yearning for freedom unencumbered by the constraints of a crowded reality.

It envisioned a flight without interruption, the silence broken only by the gentle water lapping against the shore. The absence of onlookers allowed the cormorant to revel in the purity of its existence, embracing the serenity that comes with being truly alone." – RDA
